Highly recommend this lovely place for breakfast and coffee! I'd love to give dinner a try too. This experience was well above our initial expectations. We chose the Indian Coffee House because the Google reviews looked pretty good and it was on the way of where we were going. But first the google map directions almost got us lost. Then as we first entered the restaurant/Cafe it was very quiet. As soon as we entered a lone chef told us to take a seat. As we seated and looked out the window at the lake, the chef returned with menus. When we decided what we'd eat we looked around a bit but thought maybe approach the bar and check if we place orders at the bar or if someone would come to us. At the bar the server/waitress said she'd take the order for us. After a little while the waitress brought out the coffees. I cautiously used my spoon to the check the froth/coffee ratio and it was spot on. Next to check was the temperature, I asked for warm, because I prefer my coffee a little cooler, around 55°. The temp, froth & Choc powder were all exactly how I love my coffee. The coffee was absolutely perfect! Shortly after Corine bought out our big breakfast. Everything was delicious, generous portions of bacon, mushrooms & everything else was in perfect proportion. The sausage was tasty, the hash brown crispy, the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. The coffee & food were fabulous. The service, especially from Corine was friendly and fantastic. We'll definitely be back. Thank you.

My family and I came here 5 times in two weeks. We had breakfast, brunch and dinner. The food is quality and always delicious at very reasonable prices. The owners and staff are always polite, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is peaceful with a great outlook onto Tuggerah Lake. Plenty of parking, indoor & outdoor seating.

Stumbled over this gem on a damp tuesday lunch time. Having the day off work my wife and I dropped in for a lite lunch. What a treat and what a lovely spot too. Being honest, I wasn't expecting too much, just the usual Coastie lunch time fare - burgers, wraps and the like. Of course these were available and my long suffering enjoyed a lovely chicken wrap. However, I gave the Mutton Biryani a go, my god! absolutely lovely, I want that recipe! Service was informal, friendly and prompt. I'd like to thank the folks at the 'Indian Coffee House' for making a wet Tuesday lunch time something great!

I Was greeted pleasantly and shown to my table, the 65 seat restaurant was bigger than I anticipated it would be and furnished on the surrounds with modern extra large black booth style seating and full glass front windows with incredible views across the lake. After ordering, while sipping on my perfectly made delicious cappuccino I was treated to a beautiful sunset over the lake by Mother Nature. My food arrived about 10 minutes after I had finished my coffee, and I wasn’t disappointed. The butter chicken was thick rich and creamy and the best I’ve eaten on the coast, the cheese & garlic naan was amazing and by far the best naan I’ve ever had anywhere ever, the masala prawns were good large sized fresh prawns and had a really great flavour with a good punchy burning heat to it ( so if you’re not one for heat remember to ask for it a bit milder) the rice was cooked perfectly, I specifically came to this particular restaurant to try the dosa but unfortunately I got told it wouldn’t be ready until later in the evening so I didn’t get to try it. The food was all delicious but the portions were on the small side, not for sharing, Just enough for 1 person, the meat/ chicken/ prawns were approximately 6 pieces per dish/ bowl. The service was pleasant and professional but a little lacking at times but only because the young lady was serving the entire restaurant on her own, which I must say she done a very good job at considering. Background music was mixed modern hits and played a good level and was enjoyable. The restaurant filled quickly and there was lots of noise but the tables are far enough apart so you could still easily talk and hear without being bothered by it. I would recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be returning. They also do breakfast/lunch ( western and partial Indian menu ) but they do not open early ( breakfast from 9am , closes at 2pm ) which for me is very late for breakfast but I’m going to endeavour to return for breakfast ( and/or ) lunch in the near future to try some of their other options. Full Indian menu is available at dinner time only. ( Dinner from 5pm-8pm ) There is also 2 large wooden picnic bench style table and chairs outside the front of the restaurant, which would be ideal if you had your fur baby with you and wanted a coffee: or alternatively there is also seating across the road in the grass area of the lake foreshore if you wanted to get take away. Overall a good dining experience, with tasty food and drinks. Table water and glasses were pre provided on all tables. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. Family friendly with a kids menu/ it was also budget friendly.

I had the best South Indian food at Indian Coffee House! While some of the dishes aren’t listed on the menu, don’t hesitate to ask — the staff are more than happy to tell you about their daily specials, especially if you’re visiting in the evening. The food was incredibly authentic, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual dinners and small gatherings. The customer service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They offer a great mix of Indian and Australian dishes, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re craving crispy dosas, flavourful curries, or something a little more familiar, this place won’t disappoint. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area — definitely worth the visit!

If you're craving authentic South Indian and Indian cuisine, look no further! I recently discovered the hidden gem of a restaurant that serves the most mouth-watering dishes that'll transport your taste buds straight to India! ???????? From crispy dosa and fluffy idli to rich biryani and flavorful curry, every bite was a burst of tradition and flavor. I can’t get over how delicious their kappa( cassava) and pork fry are—perfect complements to every meal! Not to mention, the ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, making it perfect for family dinners or a night out with friends! If you’re in the mood for some soul-soothing comfort food, this place is a MUST-TRY! Indian coffee house , canton beach ]

A unique venue for birthday celebations with delicious food, we just got that all ticked in Indian Coffee House. Food was delicious - right from the welcome drinks, starters, main dishes and finishing off with tea and ulli vada. Just opposite to Canon beach our young children had a blast of time hopping from the playground to the restaurant and relishing the food. Service was excellent and this will be our favourite spot when visiting Central coast.

We stopped here because it was too good to pass up the opportunity for an afternoon beverage, but realised quickly this little local gem has a lot to offer. Licensed, outdoor seating, dog friendly, substantial gluten free menu (including dosa!) and unparalleled lake sunset view...so we decided to get some takeaway and then to top it all off, the food was excellent..! I'd say we'll be returning to continue to work out way through the menu and catch a few more sunsets.!
